The point that I was making was that he was making a false analogy because where a football game would last for like a couple of hours, the map lasted 6 months. Many other factors other than “they gave up”

What analogy would you prefer then? How about if you don’t give effort on the final for a class that you had an A in for the whole semester and you end with a C? Do you get an A because you had one most the time? No.

The point he was making wasn’t about football lmfao, it’s about who finishes on top.

What I am saying is, the comparison he created holds no value at all because he was talking about 2 very different things. Why r u so saltE? o_O Also you created a false analogy as well because you don't just get the option to stop going to your class and allow others (who weren't even taking the class) to come in and take your grade LOL.

It was making a example, the game wasn’t over and the team came back, the map wasn’t over and the faction xclusiv came back.

I totally didn't know that. Just because one thing lasts way longer than the other doesn't mean it's a bad analogy, the point I wanted to make is clear.

You both made false analogies? Don’t you know how easy it is to make something sound convincing yet it actually makes no sense? Like trying to say that winning a football game and relating it to winning a map in minecraft. Jasper said it in a way that sounded intelligent and persuasive yet he compared two very different situations that have many different circumstances that allow you to achieve success. Yaccob mentioned getting an A in a class yet doing bad on a final exam. This is also a very different situation that has nearly no correlation to losing a map other than the fact that you lost your good grade. These were both what we call “false analogies” I’m pretty sure you should be learning that right now in your English class since your a sophomore right? Anyways I actually don’t care about how the map rewards turned out, I’m just saying that both of your arguements made no sense in justifying why who won.

The point was the team/faction that holds the lead at the end of the road wins the points/rewards, not the team/faction that had the lead for the majority of the time. This is true for both cases so I'm not sure what you're on about.

It is not a false analogy.
Definitions of analogy pulled from google:
a comparison between one thing and another, typically for the purpose of explanation or clarification.
"an analogy between the workings of nature and those of human societies"
    • a correspondence or partial similarity.
"the syndrome is called deep dysgraphia because of its analogy to deep dyslexia"
    • a thing which is comparable to something else in significant respects.
"works of art were seen as an analogy for works of nature"
Either you lack the mental capacity to see the two are comparable, or you are too arrogant to let your ego down.
